More Science

So, the speedy science student is still at it. This is an experiment from Module 4. Sam's been doing a module every week and loving it. I have been especially pleased to see him take ownership of at least one subject. I also enjoy his moments of enlightenmnet--those are things he won't forget quickly. Hearing him cogitate aloud while finishing his math encourages me that he is understands the material quite well--he is usually creating some kind of shortcut when he does this. So, our life here seems to never change when you look from a distance, but then when you focus in, you notice a boy slowly becoming a man. Parenting, what a responsibility!!

Science!

Here is experiment #1 in the new science book. We are beginning Physical Science now. Sam wants to finish the book by September, but is thinking that doing 2 days of work each day might be too much. We'll have to look at how else we can meet his goal.

The goal of this experiment was to observe molecules breaking down into atom and atom forming into molecules. I'm glad that I'm married to someone who can oversee these things. All I saw were bubbles and the water changing color :)
